Top Ten dancing divas of Bollywood

From the black and white era of 50's to Eastman Colour days of 70's or more recently the digital age, every era has been grooved by Bollywood's talented dancing divas. Over the years these divas have won many hearts and accolades with their vibrant and memorable dance performances. Take a look at some of the remarkable dance numbers.
 
 Madhuri Dixit is not just a talented actress but also an excellent dancer from Bollywood. Be it western or classical or Kathak, Madhuri does it gracefully. She is an inspiration for all current actresses of Bollywood. She was best in her song Choli Ke Peeche… from Khalnayak.
 
This beautiful actress was known for her dancing style. Be it classical or Western, Sridevi did it with ease. Interestingly she never studied the art like her South Indian contemporaries like Meenakshi Sheshadiri and Jaya Prada. This folk song from Lamhe is the best example of her dancing.
 
Talented actress Meenakshi Sheshadri was trained in four different forms of Indian classical dance: Bharata Natyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak and Odissi. Meenakshi showed her flawless dancing in her films too. Her song Bin Sajan Jhula Jhulu from Damini became huge hit.
 
Beautiful actress Vaijayanti Mala was extremely graceful when it came to dancing. She was known for her classical dancing in films. Her dance number from Jewel Thief, 'Hoton Pe Aisi Baat' is one of the best songs till date.
 
Urmila Matondkar is known for her Jhatakas and sensuous moves. More than her acting the actress is known for her dancing. Her songs like Chamma Chamma, Kambakht Ishq, Rangeela songs made her popular.
 
Rani Mukherjee is a trained Odissi dancer. The actress has done many popular dance numbers. In her film Dil Bole Haddippa, Rani performed the bhangra to perfection.
 
Asha Parekh was dancing maestro and had learned classical dancing. She showcased her dancing skills in films like Caravan, Aan Milo Sajna and Aye Din Bahar Ke.
 
Helen was one of the best dancers in 70's. She was known for her cabaret dancing. She was amongst the first actresses who started the trend of item girls in Bollywood. Piya tu ab toh Aaja from Carvan is amongst the best cabaret numbers in Bollywood.
 
Jaya Prada was a classical dancer who came into films due to her dancing skills. She was known for her dance shows and live performances too. Her song Dafali Wale was a huge hit in late 70's.
 
Aishwarya Rai is a great dancing talent and has many popular dance numbers to her credit. She dance gracefully in the song Nimbuda… from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
